Wellness Wednesday: Berry Tropical Smoothie with Maca

If you've read my 10 Superfoods for Hashimoto's blog post, you know I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate maca powder into my diet. This ancient adaptogen aids in disease prevention while also helping to boost mood and memory — making it an excellent addition to smoothies, teas, and yogurt parfaits.
I recently added maca to this Berry Tropical Smoothie and I couldn't be happier with the results. Here's how to make it!
What You Need (Makes Two Smoothies)
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 large handful of baby spinach
- ½ cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tbs hemp protein powder
- 1 tbs maca powder
- Drizzle of agave
How to Make This Berry Tropical Smoothie
- Add each item to your blender
- Blend on high for about a minute
- Pour into glasses and enjoy
