Wellness Wednesday: Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie

This inflammation-fighting smoothie is completely plant-based and high in vitamin C, dietary fiber, manganese, folate, potassium, and omega-3 fatty acids. It contains about five grams of protein, but you can always add in a scoop of vanilla protein powder if you're looking to boost the protein content.
This Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie is super delicious and perfect for a light breakfast, mid-morning snack, or late afternoon pick-me-up! If you're short on time, feel free to use frozen strawberries in place of the fresh.
What You Need (Makes Two Smoothies)
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 3 kiwis, peeled
- 1/4 cup ice
- 2 tbs raw sunflower seeds (soaked overnight, if preferred)
- 2 tbs ground flax seeds
- 1-2 tbs agave nectar or maple syrup (depending on how sweet you'd like the smoothie to be)
Add each ingredient to your blender in this order. Blend for about a minute, pour into two glasses, and enjoy!
